Modular Backdrops for Photocall Events

A Photocall (combination of the English words for “photography” and “call”) is a privileged space occupied by celebrities, well-known people or simply famous people when they arrive at an event, before entering its premises. The photocall is usually located just outside, or in front, of the entrance to the event. It is an important space, especially because it’s where people stop for a moment, while photographers try to find their best angle to take photographs.

The photocall is a public relations action. The sponsors of an event invite celebrities with media interest. In this way, they get the presence of the press, who will be able to photograph and briefly interview the celebrities in a designated area. At the same time, they get publicity for their brands, since this area is full of logos of the different promoting brands.

It should be mentioned, therefore, that the main use of the photocall is to advertise the brands participating in the event, since behind the celebrities there is a background with logos and brands, generally relevant to the public. However, its use is not exclusive to the world of cinema, since many photocalls are currently used for all types of events, especially prestigious parties and weddings.
